A robotics company says its bricklaying autonomous robots have built an apartment in the Netherlands.

Monumental released footage on Thursday (29 October) showing robots on curved scaffolding laying bricks at a building site in Almere.

The company’s founder, Salar al Khafaji, said the project included robots laying a curved wall with different brick types, different brick bonds, and indented text in the brickwork.

Monumental says its robots have also started building an entire neighbourhood in the Groningen area, including more than 100 houses and a hotel.
