A UFO map has revealed hundreds of sightings across the UK over the last five years. And a number of them were in the North East – including 13 in Newcastle.

Nearly 2,000 Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) have been documented and logged in the UK by research group UFO Identified. Now, a searchable interactive map, included below, allows you to explore every unexplained encounter logged in your area between 2021 and 2026.

A number of those recorded sightings have taken place in the North East – including 13 in the Newcastle area. There were also sightings in Northumberland, Tynemouth, South Shields, Washington, Sunderland and County Durham.

Meanwhile, strange black triangles speeding above military sites have triggered security concerns in America. And our interactive map reveals identical UFOs have been haunting British skies. Many British accounts closely mirror sightings reported across the Atlantic.
