At 22, Darnell Walker went to the hospital thinking he had pulled a muscle. The doctor came back and told him he had 16 blood clots running from his ankle into his lungs and that he should have been gone a month ago. That moment showed him two things: that life can end at any moment, and that knowing that does not have to be frightening. It can be the thing that makes you choose to make this Wednesday beautiful.
