I just returned from a visit to Western Ireland and became witness to the immigration crisis happening throughout Europe. We arrived shortly after the case of Henry Nowak became news . Nowak was an 18-year-old white British man stabbed five times by a Sikh of Pakistani descent, Vickrum Digwa, in December 2025 in the UK. Police video of the incident was released before we arrived and showed the police arresting and handcuffing victim Nowak as he was dying and exclaiming “I have been stabbed…I can’t breath”.

Police coldly told Nowak “I don’t thing you have, mate” while coddling his killer. This incident follows several similar anti-white, pro-immigrant, examples of two-tier policing and started protests throughout the UK. While in Ireland, a Sudanese immigrant attempted to behead an Irishman assisting the Immigrant in Belfast. This brought passionate protests by both Irish Catholic and Protestant (Unionist) Irish in Belfast. In all these reactions, the primary issue of protesters was the legitimate concerns their native culture and people was being replaced by non-Westerners. The virtual invasion of Europe by third world aliens is transforming Europe in a way that endangers American security.

The Trump administration noted these third world demographic changes in Europe last year in their 2025 National Security Strategy (NSS). The NSS specifically warns of the “stark prospect of civilizational erasure” in Europe due to “migration policies that are transforming the continent and creating strife, censorship of free speech and suppression of political opposition, cratering birthrates, and loss of national identities and self-confidence.” (National Security Strategy)

As a result of the immigration crisis and its corresponding effects, the NSS concludes “it is far from obvious whether certain European countries will have economies and militaries strong enough to remain reliable allies. Many of these nations are currently doubling down on their present path.”

The United States must track Europe’s rising civilizational erasure as a national security issue due to the historic Western cultural connections. A major part of the connection is the historic shared Christianity between Europe and Christianity: Europe transported Christianity to the new world where it grew to surpass Europe.

Beyond Christianity, Western culture is now failing in Europe with the non-Western influx

With the rise in non-Christian immigration and secularization, Europe is giving up having a Christian majority. Meanwhile, the United States still has the greatest number of Christians of any nation in the world at 230 million and the divide grows every year. (World Population Review: Most Christian Countries 2026)

Beyond Christianity, Western culture is now failing in Europe with the non-Western influx. Elon Musk expressed of the West in 2025: "America is the central column that holds up all of Western civilization... If that column fails, it's all over……. So either we strengthen that column and make sure America is strong, and we'll be strong for a long time, or that roof's coming down."

Instead of Europe’s traditional role as a main support of Western Civilization, the massive demographic and cultural change is slowly making it an adversary to the West. If Europe becomes Islamic, it will no longer be part of Western culture. Christianity brought Europe the Western view of “a vision of the human person as a subject of freedom, whose inherent dignity is rooted in their common relationship with God.

Moreover, Christianity has progressively emphasized the importance of recognizing and defending the ‘human rights’ of all individuals. The NATO Alliance was built upon the ‘common heritage and civilization’ of Western Judeo-Christian culture

Though Western Civilization was influenced by secular extremes of the Enlightenment, Christian values of freedom and individual rights remain the mainstay. At its birth, America declared to the Western world we were “endowed by our creator with certain unalienable rights” which government was to protect. Western thought from Europe Further. Over a century and a half later, President Franklin Roosevelt’s D-Day prayer called the invasion “a struggle to preserve our Republic, our religion, and our (western) civilization.” (The American Presidency Project: The D-Day Prayer)

We saw defense of Europe in World War II as directly tied to defense of what we held most important, Christianity and West.

In 1949, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), which included the United States, Canada and Western Europe, came together in the common ground of defending the West. The preamble to the NATO Charter reads in part “(NATO nations) are determined to safeguard the freedom, common heritage and civilization of their peoples, founded on the principles of democracy, individual liberty and the rule of law. The NATO Alliance was built upon the ‘common heritage and civilization’ of Western Judeo-Christian culture. European nations are now slowly becoming non-Christian/Western. That common heritage and civilization as the basis for NATO is ending.

Many European political leaders (primarily leftist) were shocked over the NSS warnings of “civilizational erasure” in Europe. The truth hurts, but it’s a truth America must acknowledge as we look to future security alliances. Americans pray that our European forebearers of Western culture can reestablish their Western Civilization for their sake and ours.

That includes sewing destruction of Western Civilization. Something that must stop.
