President Donald Trump’s increasingly violent and unhinged threats in his war against Iran have led to growing calls for his removal, including by some of the very Republicans who helped get him into office.

“How do we 25th Amendment his ass?” Alex Jones, the far-right talk show host and former Trump ally, said on his program Monday about the amendment that allows a sitting president to be removed from office.

The amendment is no easy feat to pull off, requiring the vice president and the majority of the president’s cabinet to successfully convince Congress that the president is unable to carry out the duties of the office.

Jones doubled down on his message Tuesday, calling Trump’s threats to destroy “a whole civilization” blatant war crimes.

“Trump literally sounds like an unhinged super villain from a Marvel comic movie,” he wrote. “This IS NOT WHAT WE VOTED FOR!!!

Former Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene also cried out Tuesday for the 25th Amendment to be used.

“Not a single bomb has dropped on America. We cannot kill an entire civilization,” she posted in response to Trump’s threat to wipe out Iran’s civilization should his Tuesday night deadline not be reached.

“This is evil and madness,” said the former Trump advocate.

Tucker Carlson, the conservative political commentator and former Trump ear-bender, has also reportedly urged U.S. officials to strip Trump of his executive powers.

“Now it’s time to say no, absolutely not, and say it directly to the president, no,” he said of Trump’s threat to launch mass attacks on Iranian civilians, according to The Wall Street Journal.

On his podcast Monday, Carlson also called Trump’s profanity-laced Easter Sunday post, threatening to bomb the country’s infrastructure, an act by someone wanting to play God.

Trump reportedly responded by calling Tucker “a low IQ person that has absolutely no idea what’s going on.”

Democrats have also called for the amendment’s use, including Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy, New Mexico Rep. Melanie Stansbury, and Arizona Rep. Yassamin Ansari, who said she is introducing articles of impeachment against Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth for his own role in the war.

Vance, meanwhile, has continued to stand firmly behind Trump’s war plans, telling reporters at a press conference in Hungary on Tuesday that the U.S. is ready to take action should Iran fail to reach a deal on reopening the Strait of Hormuz by 8 p.m. Eastern.

“We’ve got tools in our tool kit that we so far haven’t decided to use. The president of the United States can decide to use them and will decide to use them if the Iranians don’t change their course of conduct,” he said.
