Trump’s Chilling 5-Word ‘Dictator’ Message Causes Critics To Sound The Alarm

President Donald Trump on Wednesday offered up a somewhat positive take on dictators after delivering a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Trump bragged ― falsely ― that he “got great reviews” for the speech, which critics found long, rambling, and full of bizarre and outright false claims, along with his renewed push to take Greenland from Denmark.

But Trump insisted the reviews were good, and not what he normally hears from the media.

“Usually they say, ‘He’s a horrible dictator-type person,’ I’m a dictator,” Trump said. “But sometimes you need a dictator. But they didn’t say that in this case.”

Trump last year responded to the “No Kings” protests by insisting that he’s not a king.

“I’m not a king,” he said in October. “I work my ass off to make our country great, that’s all it is. I’m not a king at all.”

But in 2023, when critics warned that he would be a dictator if he returned to office, Trump said he would only be a dictator on day one.

His latest comments about “sometimes” needing dictators, however, had critics alarmed.

They fired back on X:

He’s not even hiding it!

Impeach this dictator while we still can

“Sometimes you need a dictator.”

If you’re a veteran and you support anti-American garbage like this then you clearly never actually understood what the oath you took actually means. https://t.co/BUNHXBgNpt

🚨OMG: In a historically shocking moment, Donald Trump just went further than ever before - openly praising authoritarian rule.

“I’m a dictator… but sometimes you need a dictator.”

Patrick Henry called it: "Your president may easily become king"

Trump said he thinks the U.S. “shouldn’t even have” midterms this Nov. during a recent interview.

His press secretary said Trump was joking.

Trump was not joking—J6 is the proof.

Trump has shown the depths he'll sink to stay in power.

We need to be prepared RE, midterms. https://t.co/W6b1HssSJM

Nope, nobody in america ever says "Man we need a DICTATOR!"

Trump is in mental decline and now he is going to pretend be a Dictator to start a world war over Greenland.

So, is it still wrong to call him a fascist?
