Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by Adpathway“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert said support for President Donald Trump is plunging as Americans are outraged by the scenes coming out of Minneapolis, where federal agents have been clashing with protesters.
The agents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Border Patrol have killed at least two Americans, causing even some Republicans to turn on the administration.
“Anti-ICE sentiment is everywhere,” Colbert pointed out. “In fact, this weekend on Instagram, Reddit, TikTok, and YouTube, posts critical of ICE went viral, even in apolitical online spaces.”
That includes what would seem like one of the most apolitical spaces of all.
“On one subreddit for playfully patting your cat like you’re playing the bongos, the moderator got a record number of upvotes after posting, quote, ‘If you still support Trump/ICE even slightly, you’re not welcome in this sub,’” Colbert said.
The audience cheered.
“If you support the fascists, your hands have no place tapping sweet samba rhythms on your cat’s bongo butt,” Colbert said, then offered up a new anti-Trump fight song ... played on a cat’s butt, naturally.
