Piers Morgan says he’s on the mend after undergoing hip replacement surgery for injuries sustained in a fall at a London restaurant.

The British TV host and former CNN anchor shared a brief, but cheekily worded, update on his health Sunday.

“New Year off to a cracking start!” Morgan quipped on Instagram, alongside a pair of photos that included an X-ray as well as a selfie taken from a hospital bed.

Noting that his tumble resulted in a “fractured femur” that required hip surgery, Morgan indicated he’s expected to be on crutches “for 6 weeks” and unable to fly long distances “for 12 weeks,” before jokingly taking a jab at President Donald Trump.

“I blame Donald Trump,” he wrote.

On Monday, Morgan shared a second post featuring a photo of himself reading a newspaper article about his accident from the hospital. Tagging his “Good Morning Britain” colleagues Ed Balls and Susanna Reid, he wrote, “I think you guys are missing the really big news today.”

Morgan had been closely aligned with Trump for years, having first connected with the future U.S. president after appearing on and winning “The Celebrity Apprentice” in 2008.

Immediately following the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, Morgan expressed regret at having supported Trump, noting: “I never thought he was capable of this.”

“He didn’t just cross a line,” he continued. “He trampled all over that line.”

Though Morgan has distanced himself from Trump directly, he continues to feature interviews on his show, “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” with other prominent Republicans, including Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and former New York Rep. George Santos, as well as far-right figures Nick Fuentes and Candace Owens.
