Eclipse Season in 2026

We are also entering an eclipse season, which is one of the ways the Universe creates both acceleration and course correction, all at once.

A solar eclipse is typically followed about two weeks later by a lunar eclipse, and this exact rhythm is active for us this season.

These two eclipses are not here to “test” you. They are here to liberate you.

They tend to illuminate what is true, expose what is outdated, and amplify what is ready to move.

That can feel exhilarating. It can also feel tender.

The best way to work with eclipse energy is to stay grounded, stay hydrated, stay in your body. And stay willing to release what you have outgrown.

What the Solar Eclipse on February 17 Means for Us

On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, we will experience an annular (partial) solar eclipse. This particular eclipse is quite rare in terms of where it will be visible.

The annular path is over very remote regions, so the partial eclipse will be visible mainly across parts of the Southern Hemisphere, including Antarctica, and portions of southern Africa and southern South America.

Even if you are not in a location where you can physically see the eclipse, you can still feel the internal invitation it brings: a reset of identity and direction, and the future you are choosing to build.

Astrologically, this solar eclipse aligns with a New Moon in Aquarius, at the later degrees of Aquarius.

Aquarius energy invites innovation, freedom, authentic self-expression, and a stronger relationship with community and like-minded connection.

It is the part of us that knows we were not meant to do life alone, and also not meant to betray ourselves in order to belong.

So here is the supportive question this eclipse asks:

Where have you been dimming your truth just to keep the peace, stay comfortable, or to stick with what’s familiar?

Aquarius is also connected to the mind, the future, and the collective. This eclipse can highlight the ways we either use our mind as a sacred tool, or get trapped in mental loops that disconnect us from the present moment.

If you notice restlessness, scattered focus, or the desire to abruptly change everything, consider that life may be trying to show you one specific change that matters most.

A potent way to work with this solar eclipse is to choose a new alignment, not a new fantasy.

Choose the next true thing:

The relationship you are ready to nourish.

The habit you are ready to embody.

The creative project you are ready to breathe life into.

The financial choice that supports your peace.

The boundary that restores your energy.

This eclipse also supports new beginnings in friendship, fellowship, and group connection.

If you’ve been craving more community, more authentic circles, or a deeper sense of belonging, this is a powerful window to follow that nudge.

The Bridge Between the Eclipses

The period between February 17 and March 2 -3 can feel like a hallway between two rooms.

One room is what you have been living. The next room is what is trying to be born through you.

In this hallway, the mind may demand answers. Yet the soul often asks for presence.

So if you feel in-between, unsure, or unusually reflective, you are not behind. You are integrating. You are recalibrating.

You are releasing an old version of yourself that cannot come with you into the life you are building now.

During this bridge, watch for meaningful synchronicities, unexpected conversations, and gentle redirections.

Eclipse seasons often rearrange timelines quickly. What looks like a detour can end up being protection. What looks like an ending can end up being space for a truer beginning.

Your only job is to keep returning to your inner Yes.

Not an anxious Yes. Not your performing Yes. Your grounded, honest, peaceful Yes.

On February 28th 2026, we also receive a beautiful visual reminder from the Universe in the form of a rare six-planet alignment.

Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune will appear gathered along the same arc of sky, tracing the ecliptic, which is the path the Sun appears to take as it travels through our heavens.

In many locations, the best viewing window is in the evening about an hour after sunset, though the exact timing and visibility will vary depending on where you are.

Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn will be the easiest to spot, while Uranus and Neptune are much more subtle in appearance, and often require binoculars or a telescope to spot.

Spiritually, moments like this can feel like a mirror.

A living symbol of connection, harmony, and divine orchestration.

Not because the planets are “doing something to us,” but because life has a way of speaking in patterns, and this is a pattern that gently whispers: Align.

Come back to what is true. Come back to what matters. Come back to the future you actually desire to create.

If you feel called, let this be a simple ceremony of clarity.

On the evening of Saturday, February 28th, choose one intention you are ready to nurture, one pattern you are complete with, and one next step you are willing to take.

Even if it is small.

Especially if it is small.

Because small, aligned steps are how the Universe turns a fresh start into a new reality.

What the Total Lunar Eclipse on March 2-3rd Means for Us

On the night of March 2nd, moving into the morning of March 3rd 2026, we experience a total lunar eclipse.

In western North America, many will be able to watch the full progression, with totality occurring in the early morning hours.

For those who like specifics, here are the approximate eclipse stage times in Pacific Time, converted from the published UTC times:

  • The penumbral phase begins around 12:44 am
  • The partial phase begins around 1:50 am
  • Totality begins around 3:04 am
  • Maximum eclipse is around 3:33 am
  • Totality ends around 4:02 am
  • The partial phase ends around 5:17 am
  • The penumbral phase ends around 6:23 am

Astrologically, this is a total lunar eclipse with a Full Moon in Virgo, with the Sun in Pisces.

Virgo is the part of us that wants to refine, simplify, purify, and bring life back into right order.

Pisces is the part of us that wants to surrender, trust, soften, and return to the eternal stream of divine support.

When these two signs meet through an eclipse, one of the great teachings is this:

You get to be both mystical and practical. You get to trust life. And you also get to take loving action.

This Virgo lunar eclipse can bring illumination around the ways we have been over-correcting, over-analyzing, over-managing, or trying to be perfect so we can feel safe.

Many astrologers describe Virgo eclipse themes as releasing perfectionism, and the exhausting need to “get it right” in order to “deserve” peace.

If something surfaces during this eclipse, such as a feeling, a memory, a truth you cannot ignore, it is not here to shame you.

It is here to set you free.

Virgo also rules routines, systems, and the everyday  choices that shape your quality of life.

So you may feel called to adjust your schedule, change your relationship with your body, clean up your environment, simplify your commitments, or release patterns that drain you.

A powerful question to sit with is: What am I doing out of habit that my future self no longer wants to carry?

This eclipse supports releasing what is unsustainable, even if it is familiar. It supports closing loops. It supports healing through simplicity. It supports choosing what is nourishing over what is performative.
