Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayNicki Minaj has deactivated her Instagram account after a surprise appearance at a major event for conservative organizing machine Turning Point USA.
The people of the internet noticed that the “Anaconda” rapper’s Instagram had gone dark on Wednesday, just days after she buddied up with rising Republican celebrity Erika Kirk, the widow of late activist and Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk, on the final day of the organization’s four-day AmericaFest in Phoenix, Arizona, on Sunday.
During the conversation, Minaj told Kirk she had “the utmost respect and admiration” for President Donald Trump, saying, “I don’t know if he even knows this, but he’s given so many people hope.”
Though her Instagram is still offline, she remains active on X, where she shared Christmas wishes along with a post that said, “Angels bow before him. Heaven & Earth adore him. What a mighty God we serve,” on Friday.

While reps for Minaj did not immediately respond to HuffPost’s questions about her Instagram exit, the rap diva did address backlash over her new support for the president while talking to Kirk.
Asked how she felt about political blowback from people within her industry, the “Super Bass” rapper simply said, “I didn’t notice.”
Minaj, who is better known for her feuds with fellow music-makers like Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion and Taylor Swift than her politics, began publicly revealing her allegiance to Trump in November when she shared a video from the official White House TikTok lauding his anti-trans and anti-immigration policies, which featured her track “Va Va Voom” as backing.
She officially aligned herself with the president after he vowed to protect Christians in Nigeria from “mass slaughter” by “Islamic terrorists,” later speaking about this issue on his administration’s behalf at a United Nations event on Nov. 18.

The Nigerian government has contested claims of targeted religious persecution, saying armed jihadists have been waging a campaign of violence on people across the West African nation, regardless of background or belief.
Minaj hasn’t always had nice things to say about the president. During a 2020 interview, she said his term-one policy of separating migrant children from their guardians didn’t make her eager to “jump on the Donald Trump bandwagon.”
“That is what really raised my eyebrows,” said the Trinidadian-born star, who in 2018 said she was an “illegal immigrant” when she moved to the U.S. as a child. “That is what made me go, ‘Something about this doesn’t sit right in my spirit.’”
