A 52-year-old laborer was killed by a lightning strike in his home in Barangay Anahaw, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental on Sunday, Nov. 23.

Police Lt. Col. Jovil Sedel, Hinigaran police chief, said the incident was reported to them by the victim's wife on Monday, Nov. 24.

Investigation said the victim Rodolfo was sitting in their terrace when heavy rains occurred followed by a lightning strike.

The victim was leaning on the mesh wire enclosing the terrace when he was electrocuted.

He fell to the ground and taken to the Hinigaran Medical Clinic where he was declared dead.
