Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayJosh Brolin thinks President Donald Trump’s skill for selling himself has come in handy as a politician.
In an interview published Saturday, the actor told The Independent that while he doesn’t recognize much of his old friend, Trump is still a “genius” when it comes to marketing.
Musing about if the Republican really plans to seek out a constitutionally questionable third term in 2028, Brolin said, “I’m not scared of Trump, because even though he says he’s staying for ever, it’s just not going to happen. And if it does, then I’ll deal with that moment.”
“But having been a friend of Trump before he was president, I know a different guy,” he added.

The “Dune” actor also said he understands why people gravitate to Trump, adding, “There is no greater genius than him in marketing.”
“He takes the weakness of the general population and fills it,” Brolin went on. “And that’s why I think a lot of people feel that they have a mascot in him.”
“I think it’s much less about Trump than it is about the general population and their need for validation.”

Brolin befriended Trump while working on Oliver Stone’s 2010 film, “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps.”
The star previously hashed out his political differences with his former friend in an October 2020 Instagram post where he called himself a “very conservative Democrat” who was no “diehard” for then-candidate Joe Biden.
Despite that, Brolin told followers he longed for an America made up of a “potpourri of people from all over the globe” and wanted “a president that embraces us all, not just the ones that like him.”
