Far-right host Alex Jones urged conservatives to “cut bait on” President Donald Trump, saying he needs an intervention because “he’s gone.”

In an “Alex Jones Show” highlight shared on X Tuesday, the conspiracy theorist also asked his followers to remember the Trump who “got so much done.”

“He does look sick,” Jones said. “And he does babble, and you know, sounds like the brain’s not doing too hot. And so, we just cut bait on Trump, and we just mobilize against the Democrats. And we mobilize against neocons, we primary them, and we just fight even harder.”

Jones veered into dubious claims that nationalists and populists are turning the tide in elections when the opposite appears to be true.

“Trump is just a minor figure in all of that now,” he continued. “And we have to be appreciative of the old Trump that went through so much and got so much done. And that’s the Trump we remember. ... We need to be sad about Trump. This is not funny. This is not good. But he’s gone. And that’s it.”

Jones was slammed with a $1.4 billion lawsuit judgment for preaching to his audience that the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting massacre of students wasn’t real. In October, the Supreme Court rejected his appeal.

While backing Trump before his first election victory in 2016, Jones accused Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and then-President Barack Obama of literally being the devil and smelling like it, too.
