Speaking to reporters after a medal presentation event on Monday, Trump bragged about his controversial tariff policy, insisting it had been an unqualified success despite widespread skepticism from economists and no apparent let-up in the affordability crisis.

Tariffs, Trump claimed, have delivered “tremendous national security and tremendous wealth” to the United States.
“There is nothing like what’s happened in the last 10 months,” he said, referencing the amount of time he’s been back in the White House.
On a day when Trump was already drawing bipartisan anger over his hateful remarks following the death of actor-director Rob Reiner, many people online did agree with his assessment that “there is nothing like what’s happened in the last 10 months,” just not for the reasons he intended:
