Donald Trump Jr. undercut his father’s bid to rebrand the GOP.

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump floated a new name for his supporters via a post on his Truth Social platform.

“There is a new word for a TRUMP REPUBLICAN, which is almost everyone (GREAT POLICY IS THE KEY!),” the president wrote, adding: “It is, TEPUBLICAN??? Or, TPUBLICAN???”

It’s not known how tongue-in-cheek Trump was being with the post.

Despite that, many of his MAGA base predictably rushed to praise the idea and critics immediately mocked it.

Donald Trump Jr. then jumped in with an unexpected twist.

“Shouldn’t it really be Trumplican???” asked the Trump scion on X, formerly Twitter, in what amounted to an uncharacteristic break from his father.
