There is non-proven but circumstantial evidence that Donald Trump indirectly pressured or swayed the Norwegian Nobel Committee’s decision on the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize.
Apparently, originally a Sudanese lady named Ms. Alaa Salah was considered for the Nobel Peace Prize. She became an icon of the 2019 revolution in Sudan and was shortlisted for the Nobel Peace Prize. Sadly, she did not receive the prize despite the fact that her role and that of Sudanese women in the revolution for freedom, dignity, and justice has been widely acknowledged. Ms. Alaa Salah truly stands and fought for peace.
The presumably neutral Nobel Committee felt uneasy under President Trump’s aggressive campaign for himself as Peace Laureate, mobilizing several heads of state to propose his candidacy. So, when he let it be known that he would be “happy” not receiving the prestigious award if instead it would go to the Venezuelan activist and warmonger, María Corina Machado, the Committee caved in.
And Madame Machado ostensibly and openly dedicated her peace – War Prize to Donald Trump – for his efforts to fight for regime change in her own Venezuelan government, pleading Trump to invade her own country. She promised if she became President of Venezuela – supposing that Trump would help her in turn – she would privatize Venezuela’s petrol and mineral riches for the benefit – and zillion-dollar profits – of US-American businesses.
One day in our dystopian world the Nobel Committee may award a Nobel War or Traitor Prize.
This is another Orwellian truth – spelled out in “1984” “Peace is War and War is Peace” and “Truth is a Lie and Lies are Truth.” This fits George Orwell’s concept of doublethink which is the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously and accepting both as true.
It involves consciously telling lies while genuinely believing them, forgetting inconvenient facts while remembering them when needed, and denying objective reality while taking account of it.
This is the world we are living in these days and gradually moved to this stage of cacotopia in the past couple of decades.
President Trump is the epitome of doublethink and doublespeak.
And the world bends to his dystopian empire, deceptively also the Nobel Committee.
