Affordability is a phantom straw man created by socialist Dumocrats (I just love Trump’s new term for Democrats) to try to divide America one more way. Divisiveness and hate are the only things Dumocrats have left in their political arsenal. Trump has trumped (pun intended) both political parties by simply doing what party machine professional politicians have been promising for decades. How embarrassing!

I’m not an economist. I’m not a Wall Street prognosticator. I’m not a financial talking-head from any media outlet. What I am is an average American who can look around with my own eyes and see what is going on in the real world, Montana style.

The biggest construction boom in my part of Montana are mini-storage units and stand-alone drive-up coffee kiosks. When people can afford to rent space to store the surplus junk that doesn’t fit in their garage, the economy is doing well. But that can only be measured by the number of units being built.

On the other hand, when a cup of coffee in a restaurant costs $2.50 or more and designer coffees in these drive-up kiosks can cost up to $7.00, America doesn’t have an affordability problem. On Sundays when going back and forth to church, I can measure how the economy is doing when I pass five or six of these kiosks and see six to ten cars lined up to buy their designer coffee at each, the American economy is booming. With this measurement, I don’t need some high-priced economist to tell me what is going on.

Another indicator of a lively and strong economy is the home food delivery business is. I mean, good heavens, home delivery of a fast-food meal.

Maybe I should declare myself as the Coffee Kiosk Economist. I like that! Affordability is not America’s problem, Dumocrats are.
